Bacon & Sage Pork Chops
Yields 2 Servings
Ingredients
2 boneless pork chops
6 - 8 slices bacon
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon butter
2 - 3 sprigs of fresh sage
1 - 2 garlic cloves
Method
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Pat pork chops dry and season both sides with paprika, salt and pepper. Wrap three to four slices of bacon around each chop.
Brush with cooking oil and arrange on oven safe skillet. Transfer to oven and bake undisturbed for 16 - 18 minutes, or internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.
Carefully move skillet to stove top. Over medium heat, baste pork with butter, garlic and fresh sage for 60 seconds. Remove from heat.
Tent with foil and let rest for 5 - 10 minutes. Transfer to serving dish and enjoy.
